You can only hike to these cabins. There is a waterfall just to the right of the cabins. The dining and camping facilities are lower down on the hillside.

French Valley Portrait
The French Valley was closed due to high winds. This is as far as we were allowed to go up the valley. An avalanche had just come down the hillside behind us.
