Accumulated depreciation - land improvements

Accumulated depreciation – land improvements is the aggregate amount of depreciation that has been charged against the land improvements asset. The account has a natural credit balance. The balance in this account is paired with the land improvements fixed asset account to arrive at the net book value of all land improvements. When land is sold, the associated amount of accumulated depreciation for the related land improvements is removed from the accumulated depreciation – land improvements account.
