An accountant in charge is the manager of an audit. This person is responsible for assigning tasks to the audit staff, monitors the progress of the work, and adjusts workloads to complete the audit on time. This person reviews the findings of the team and reviews its working papers. The accountant in charge is also the main interface between the client and the audit team on a day-to-day basis.
