Continuous improvement

Continuous improvement is the ongoing effort to enhance the capabilities of a business. Improvement activities can focus on many areas, such as cost reduction, faster cycle times, process simplification and higher quality levels. All employees need to emphasize continuous improvement, so that the competitive position of a business is gradually enhanced over time. This mindset is based on the assumption that the fortunes of an organization will be improved by making a large number of small changes, rather than focusing on just one or two breakthrough changes.
