Reverse Acquisition
Definition: A reverse acquisition is an acquisition in which the entity issuing securities is designated as the acquiree for accounting purposes. An example of a reverse acquisition is when a privately-owned entity wants to become publicly-owned, and does so by arranging for a public entity to acquire its equity interests in exchange for the equity interests of the public entity.
