Author Overview
This book goes well beyond the typical financial analysis book you may have used in college, to address a number of issues specific to the needs of a controller. The key differences are its inclusion of operational analysis, such as capacity planning and process cycles, and a detailed demonstration of how to use an electronic spreadsheet, where I have itemized the exact cell formulas needed to create analyses for proportions, ratios, leverage, trends, depreciation, compounding, investments, and risk.
New chapters in this second edition are the measurement and performance enhancement of intangible assets, product and service profitability analysis, and "what if" analysis with an electronic spreadsheet.
